Snow Day in March, and it's Bloomin' Buds Time!

One of my favorites, a saucer Magnolia Tree, just outside work during a rain - snow - hail - sleet day! The beautiful pink flower will only last a few weeks.

Foodies

Some days a girl just has to bake. I made Cake Pops, and White Chocolate / Peanut Butter cookies. Sorry, they're all gone and they went fast!

Cake Pops

Bake your favorite chocolate cake.
Let cool.
Crumble into a bowl.
Mix in 1 can Cream Cheese Frosting
Shape into balls, place on sheet with silpat or wax paper
Chill a few hours
Melt 1 package of candy melts (I used pink) in the microwave
Insert a candy stick into each cake pop, dip into melted candy melt, and set stick into a piece of styrofoam to cool. Can be eaten off the stick, or placed on a tray with no stick.
Enjoy!

Downtown Clock

Look at our new clock in downtown Mountain Home! Thanks to the Urban Renewal Agency, they purchased a new clock and installed it in Railroad Park. The park will have sidewalks and landscaping, and I can't wait to see it finished. Great beautification projection for downtown.

Mary Jo's Oscar Party

Mary Jo's hosts her annual Oscar gala and it's so fun to sit in front a HUGE screen TV and watch the Red Carpet and movie stars with a room full of women! Mary Jo has trivia and prizes, and I won a DVD, and Darla was the big winner for the night!

Bunco for Breast Cancer 2010

The 7th Annual Bunco for Breast Cancer was held on February 27. Our Mountain Home group hosted the spectular and fun event for women from all over Southern Idaho. Our goal: to raise breast cancer awareness and donate funds to help women obtain mammograms who otherwise might not be able to afford the screening. We raised nearly $7,000 and donated the money to the St. Luke's Health Foundation, Boise, Idaho. A big shout-out to everyone - it's everyone's contributions that make this such a great event. It's the dollar bills, the five dollar bills, the fifty dollar bills, and yes, one hundred dollar bills (I was getting coffee one morning and a friend dug into her wallet and donated $100 right there on the spot). It's a tough year, some donors donated less, others donated more, and we are very thankful to each of you.

If you need a mammogram, or know of someone in need of a mammogram, call the St. Luke's Breast Cancer Detection Center, 208.706.2055. They will take very good care of you.
